Charlie Sheen accused of using weapon against wife
US authorities say actor Charlie Sheen has been accused of using a weapon in an alleged case of domestic violence in Aspen.
Sheen spent part of Christmas Day in jail after being arrested at a home in the Colorado ski resort town following reports of a heated fight with wife Brooke Mueller at a dinner party.
He will reportedly now take anger management classes.
Police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro did not provide details on what kind of weapon Sheen is accused of using.
Entertainment website TMZ.com, citing police sources, said the weapon was a knife.
Sheen was also arrested on investigation of second-degree assault, a felony, and criminal mischief.
Sheen’s lawyer did not return a telephone call seeking comment.
Sheen hasn’t been charged and was released on Friday after posting a $US8500 ($9600) bond.
Prosecutors will determine whether to file charges.
